On 20 February 2026, a meeting was held between the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerlan Sarsembayev, and Ulvi Akhundlu Deputy Director of the Elections Department of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights 

During the meeting, Yerlan Sarsembayev provided information on the activities of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan and briefed on the ongoing legal reforms and key results of the Ministry's work.

The parties discussed preparations for the upcoming nationwide referendum on the draft Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, scheduled for 15 March 2026. Representatives of the ODIHR were informed about the work on preparing the draft Constitution.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the participants expressed mutual appreciation and wished success in their future work.
