A seminar with the participation of accountants of the health department of Akmola region on the topic "Taxes in medicine" was held at the Department of State Revenues.
During the event, the head of the Department of Department Shynar Musina acquainted with the changes in tax legislation in the field of medicine.
For the healthcare sector, a reduced value added tax (VAT) rate is introduced: from 2026 - 5%, from 2027 - 10%. At the same time, within the framework of the guaranteed volume of free medical care and compulsory health insurance, as well as in the treatment of orphan and socially significant diseases, medicines and medical services will be completely exempt from VAT.
The corporate income tax (CPN) rate for medicine and education will be 5% from 2026 and 10% from 2027. This makes the industry one of the most favorable compared to other sectors of the economy.
In order to support entrepreneurs and improve the quality of accounting and tax accounting, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan is holding an action "People's Accountant."
The promotion is held from January 5, 2026 and will last until June 30, 2026.
"People's Accountant" is a free advisory assistance for individual entrepreneurs and small businesses.
Work schedule in the first months of January-February 2026 consultations 3 times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) from 10:00 to 13:00. Since March 2026, consultations 2 times a week.
In Akmola region, the action is held at the State Revenue Department in Kokshetau at Kokshetau pr. Nazarbayeva 21A.
The event was held in a question-answer format, with a slide demonstration. Competent answers were given to all the questions posed.
