In accordance with Article 566 of the Tax Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, vehicle tax is calculated independently by the taxpayer.

You can calculate the tax amount using:

-    The "Vehicle Tax Calculator" electronic service on the official portal of the State Revenue Committee (kgd.gov.kz).

-    The "e-Salyq Azamat" mobile application under the "Calculators" section.

To perform the calculation, you must provide:

-    The tax year (2025).

-    The number of months of actual vehicle ownership.

-    The vehicle type.

-    The engine displacement (cc).

The tax rate depends on the Monthly Calculation Index (MCI) and the vehicle's engine capacity. The calculation uses the MCI rate effective as of January 1st of the corresponding financial year. For the 2025 tax year, the applied MCI is 3,932 KZT.

Payment Details:

Vehicle tax must be paid at the individual's place of residence. When paying via banks or ATMs, please use the following codes:

-    Classification of Budget Revenue (KBK): 104402

-    Payment Designation Code (KNP): 911

-    KNP for penalties (late fees): 912

To complete the payment, you will need the VIN code—a unique 17-character vehicle identification number found in the vehicle registration document (technical passport):

-    For passenger cars: the body number.

-    For trucks: the chassis number.

Special Circumstances:

In the event of vehicle loss (due to theft or other reasons), the owner must provide the State Revenue Administration at their place of residence with confirming documentation from the authorized state body.

Deadline: The deadline for individuals to pay the 2025 vehicle tax is no later than April 1, 2026.

The State Revenue Department for the Jetisu Region reminds citizens that paying taxes is a constitutional duty and urges everyone to fulfill their tax obligations in a timely manner.
