On March 10, 2026, Ambassador-at-Large – Head of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty, Zhanibek Abdrashov held a meeting with Plamen Petkov, Minister Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of Bulgaria to Kazakhstan. During the meeting, the Head of the Representative Office extended his congratulations on the opening of the Embassy's trade and economic department in Almaty. Furthermore, he noted that this step would provide fresh momentum to the bilateral trade and economic relations between the two countries. In turn, the Minister Plenipotentiary expressed his readiness to assist in the further development of bilateral cooperation.
