During his visit to the Karmakshy district, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, holder of the Order of Barys (III degree), professor and zhyrau Almasbek Almatov visited the Korkyt Ata Memorial Complex and paid tribute to the spirit of the great thinker, kobyz musician, and legendary father of the kui tradition, Korkyt Ata.

During the meaningful ceremony, the zhyrau recited a prayer in honor of the ancestor and shared his thoughts on the unique place of Korkyt Ata’s heritage in Kazakh spirituality. He emphasized that the legacy of Korkyt Ata stands at the origins of the zhyrau tradition of the Syr region.
