Valparaíso, March 11, 2026 - On behalf of the Head of State, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Brazil and concurrently to Chile Bolat Nussupov took part in the inauguration ceremony of the elected President of Chile José Antonio Kast in Valparaíso.

Earlier, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent a letter to José Antonio Kast congratulating him on his election, emphasizing that Astana is interested in deepening political dialogue and trade and economic relations with Santiago.

In his reply, the new head of the Republic of Chile gratefully noted his country's readiness to further strengthen friendly ties with the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as to expand mutual cooperation for the comprehensive prosperity of the peoples of the two states.

The ceremony, held in the Hall of Honor of the National Congress of Chile, was attended by leaders of a number of South American states, as well as high-level representatives from the US, the EU, Asia, international and regional organizations, and heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Chile.
