Scammers have come up with a new scheme: they call Russians on behalf of a delivery service and inform them that their paid order from an expensive appliance store has arrived.
The scammers provide the recipient's real information and address, and then ask for the "confirmation code" from the text message. They ignore any questions about the cost or contents of the order. Once they receive the code, they gain access to the victim's accounts or finances, according to RIA Novosti.
