The Role of Social Partnership and Collective Agreements Discussed in the Karaganda Region

Current issues of labor relations regulation were discussed with the participation of representatives of government bodies and trade union organizations.
The event was attended by Sayagul Yerkebekova, Head of the Labor Relations Control Department of the Karaganda Region Department of the State Labor Inspection Committee of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as representatives of the отраслевой trade union of education and science workers, the regional branch of the “SENIM” healthcare workers’ trade union, and the Legal Clinic of the Federation of Trade Unions of Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, participants considered the importance of social partnership in the labor sphere and the role of collective agreements in regulating labor relations.
In her speech, Sayagul Yerkebekova emphasized that effective interaction between employers, employees, and the state is a key factor in ensuring stability in the labor sector. It was also noted that collective agreements remain one of the main instruments for protecting workers’ rights and ensuring social guarantees.
Trade union representatives Maral Kashenova and Eleonora Omarbekova shared practical experience, highlighting the importance of monitoring the implementation of collective agreements, protecting workers’ rights, and the role of trade unions in resolving labor disputes.
Following the meeting, participants emphasized the need to further strengthen social partnership and improve the effectiveness of mechanisms for protecting labor rights.
