29.03.2026 08:18:26 177The IV regional competition “Shakarim Readings” took place in the Zhetysu region, aimed at promoting the heritage of the prominent thinker and poet Shakarim Kudaiberdiyev. The educational event was organized by the S. Seifullin Central Library of the Zhetysu region. The main goal of the competition was to widely promote the poet’s творчество among the younger generation and to increase interest in national literature.
A total of 11 students from grades 5–8, representing various districts and cities of the region, participated in the competition. The participants demonstrated their knowledge and creative abilities. The competition was held in two stages.
The first stage, titled “Let the poem gently settle in your mind,” involved expressive recitation of Shakarim Kudaiberdiyev’s poems from memory. During this stage, special attention was paid to speech culture, intonation, stage presence, and the artistic quality of the participants’ recitations.
The second stage, titled “The more knowledgeable excels in competition,” was held in the format of an intellectual contest. Participants who passed the first stage answered questions related to the life and work of the poet. In this round, not only the level of knowledge was assessed, but also logical thinking, quick wit, and a genuine interest in literature.
The jury paid special attention to performance skills, stage culture, and the overall level of preparation of the participants, ensuring an objective evaluation.
According to the results of the competition, first place was awarded to Zhasbatyr Zhanadil Sarsenuly, a student from the Karatal district, who received a pass to the national stage. Second place went to Makhmud Marlan Tulytemirkhanuly, a student from the village of Koktal in the Panfilov district. Third place was awarded to Kyzur Zhanerke, a student from the Aksu district. The winners were awarded diplomas and valuable prizes.
In addition, distinguished participants were recognized in various nomination categories, while active participants and their mentors were awarded letters of appreciation.
The competition gave a strong impetus to the spiritual development of young people and increased interest in the works of Shakarim Kudaiberdiyev. The participants demonstrated a high level of knowledge and creativity, earning recognition from the audience.
