The car was blown into the sea — this is not only force majeure, but also unnecessary taxes!

Imagine a situation: the level of the Caspian Sea rose sharply and your car was swept into the sea, or another natural disaster occurred. The car cannot be restored, but did you know that the state revenue authorities "do not see" this until you give a sign?

Why does the tax keep dripping?

The transport tax is calculated as long as the car is registered with you in the database of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Even if the car has turned into a rusty pile of metal, it is considered an object of taxation.

Algorithm of actions:

Immediately call the police or emergency services. You will need an official document confirming the fact of destruction or damage to property.

Do not delay the removal of cars from the register "for later". The tax stops accruing only from the month following the month of de-registration.

Check the e-Salyq Azamat app or the egov portal.kz that the status of the car has changed to "De-registered".

Remember: One extra month in the registry is a tax that will have to be paid to the budget. Act fast!
