Kazakhstan and Tajikistan are strengthening their cooperation in the field of tax administration

       On March 26–27, 2026, a delegation from the Tax Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan visited the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astana.

      The purpose of the visit was to exchange practical experience and study Kazakhstan’s approaches to modernizing tax administration, including the digitization of processes and improving the efficiency of interaction with businesses.

      As part of the visit’s program, bilateral meetings were held with representatives of relevant departments of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

     Seilzhan Akhmetov, Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, delivered a welcoming address, noting that the development of international cooperation enables the adoption of best practices and the improvement of tax administration.

    The Kazakhstani side presented key areas for the development of the tax system, emphasizing the service-oriented model of administration and digital solutions.

    The discussion focused on:

  • changes in tax legislation;
  • approaches to the administration of businesses;
  • taxation of subsoil users and transfer pricing;
  • monitoring of large taxpayers;
  • tax audits;
  • digitalization and the development of information systems.

     Special attention was paid to digital transformation. The delegation familiarized itself with the State Tax Service’s IT solutions based on Digital Silk Road, where tools aimed at automating processes, reducing the administrative burden, and increasing the transparency of tax administration were demonstrated.
