As part of the implementation of the “Law and Order” concept, the Department of criminally-executive system in the North Kazakhstan Region, in cooperation with the regional prosecutor’s office, the city prosecutor’s office of Petropavlovsk, and the Department of Education, organized a preventive event in the format of a teleconference between students and inmates serving sentences in correctional institutions.

More than 1,500 students and school pupils participated in the event. Its main goal was to prevent crime among young people, foster a conscious attitude toward their actions, and prevent involvement in illegal schemes.

Individuals serving sentences for fraud, dropper schemes, and drug distribution addressed the students.

During the meeting, the inmates shared their personal experiences, spoke about the reasons that led them to commit crimes, and discussed the consequences of illegal actions. Particular attention was given to common internet fraud schemes and the involvement of young people in unlawful activities.

At the end of the event, students asked questions of interest and received honest and informative answers. The event became a clear example of the importance of preventive work and direct dialogue with youth in shaping law-abiding behavior.
