A regular meeting of the Joint Board of Customs Services of the Eurasian Economic Union was held in Bishkek

      The Kazakhstani delegation of the State Revenue Committee, headed by Chairman Zhandos Duisembiev, took part in the 53rd meeting of the Joint Board of Customs Services of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, held on March 26, 2026, in Bishkek.

      During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to the uniform classification of certain goods within the EAEU, as well as the further development of information exchange between customs authorities.

      A separate block was devoted to discussing and adopting specific decisions on improving the customs transit procedure, including law enforcement practices in cases of non-delivery of goods to their destinations.

     The parties exchanged with the experience regarding law enforcement practices on amending information declared in goods declarations after the release of goods, as well as practices related to customs value declarations.

     In addition, the heads of customs services approved a number of unified risk indicators aimed at ensuring consistency in customs processes.

     During the meeting, the Kazakh side drew the attention of colleagues from the customs services of EAEU countries to the need to continue efforts to simplify customs procedures for bona fide businesses.

     The next meeting of the Joint Board scheduled for the second quarter of the current year in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
