A festive event titled “Welcome, Az Nauryz!” was held at a high level in the village of Bastaushy. This vibrant celebration dedicated to the Great Day of the Nation brought joy and uplifted spirits to the residents, while also providing a wonderful opportunity to honor our national traditions.

During the celebration, respected elderly women in white headscarves performed the ancient Kazakh cleansing ritual alastau, showered sweets (shashu), and shared their heartfelt wishes. The village elders gave their blessings and expressed sincere words of goodwill to everyone present.

At the event, the Akim (mayor) of the Bastaushy rural district, Arman Bolatbekovich Kenesbekov, delivered a congratulatory speech and extended his Nauryz greetings to the residents. The celebration also featured songs, the melodic sounds of the kuy, and captivating dance performances.

Traditional sports were not left aside: competitions such as tug-of-war, arm wrestling, kettlebell lifting, audaryspak, and horse racing were organized, with participants showing great enthusiasm.
