Kazakh Delegation Visits Headquarters of Swedish Company Väderstad

Väderstad, 23 March 2026 – A Kazakh delegation comprising Vice Minister of Industry and Construction Olzhas Saparbekov, Vice Minister of Agriculture Azat Sultanov, and President of AgromashHolding KZ JSC Dinara Shukizhanova visited the headquarters of Swedish company Väderstad, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high-tech agricultural machinery. The delegation also included representatives of Eurasia Group Kazakhstan LLP, the official distributor of Väderstad in Kazakhstan.
Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Sweden Olzhas Suleimenov noted that the visit represented a logical continuation of previously reached agreements on expanding cooperation with the company, as well as a practical step toward advancing the initiative to localize the production of Väderstad machinery in Kazakhstan.
During a meeting with President and CEO of Väderstad Henrik Gilstring, as well as co-owner and Board Member Christina Stark, the parties held substantive discussions on prospects for deepening industrial cooperation.
Vice Ministers O. Saparbekov and A. Sultanov, in turn, briefed their Swedish counterparts on Kazakhstan’s ongoing efforts to implement a strategic course aimed at economic diversification and the technological modernisation of the agro-industrial complex, one of the key sectors of the national economy. Particular attention was given to existing government support measures, including subsidy mechanisms, as well as tax and customs incentives designed to attract investment and promote industrial cooperation.
President of AgromashHolding KZ JSC Dinara Shukizhanova presented the company’s core areas of activity, its manufacturing capabilities, and its potential as an industrial platform for developing cooperation with international partners.
As part of the visit, the Kazakh delegation also toured the company’s production facilities and reviewed Väderstad’s advanced technological solutions in the fields of seeding and soil cultivation.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in continuing a substantive dialogue on specific areas of cooperation.
For reference: Väderstad AB is a privately owned, family-run company founded in 1962 by Rune and Siv Stark in Sweden. It is currently managed by the second and third generations of the family. The company is one of the global leaders in the production of high-precision and durable harrows, precision seed drills, and row crop planters, which are used by farmers in more than 40 countries worldwide. The company’s revenue amounted to approximately €550 million in 2025.
