Tuday, a roundtable discussion was held at the city administration of Kostanay regarding the regulation of stray and neglected animal populations within the city. Participants and guests included representatives of veterinary clinics and veterinary offices.
The purpose of the meeting was to establish an open dialogue with the veterinary community, discuss current industry issues, challenges related to working with the “TANBA” database, enhance control and transparency in responsible animal care, and develop joint solutions.
During the discussion, it was noted that the Department of Entrepreneurship, Agriculture, and Veterinary Services will prepare a draft order of the Mayor of Kostanay to create a working group. This group will focus on identifying stray animals as well as cases of unsupervised pet walking, involving all relevant government bodies and organizations.
As a result of the roundtable, a decision was made to organize “Green Corridors” in designated areas during inspection activities.
The so-called “Green Corridor” will facilitate fast and convenient service for pet owners when registering their animals.
