A 28-year-old resident of the city of Semey, while at home, entered into negotiations with an unknown man on a cell phone, who offered him to transfer narcotic drugs to the territory of a correctional institution in the Abai region for a monetary reward. The man agreed to the criminal plan.

          However, when trying to transfer him, he was detained at the scene by the staff of the institution, who patrolled the outer perimeter in order to prevent the penetration of prohibited items. The court found the man guilty and sentenced him to six years in prison. The convict is currently serving his sentence.

              — I succumbed to the promise of easy money and made a big mistake. Now I realize that I ruined my life. I appeal to young people — do not engage in transfers and crimes. They will detain you anyway, and as a result you will end up in the place where they once tried to transfer prohibited funds," the convict shared.

         — Every attempt to transfer is a direct threat to the security of the institution. Thanks to the professionalism and vigilance of the staff, such crimes are detected and suppressed in a timely manner. Perimeter security is carried out around the clock. Administrative and criminal liability is provided for attempts to deliver narcotic drugs and other prohibited items," said Aydin Kalelov, Deputy head of the institution.
