Representatives of the Pakistani Business are Interested in Future Expanding Trade and Investment Contacts with Kazakhstan

Islamabad, April 2, 2026 — Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan H. E. Mr. Yerzhan Kistafin received leading representatives of the business community of Pakistan represented by CEO of “Well Connect LTD” Mr. Habil Ahmed Khan, as well as a delegation of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry headed by Mr. Usman Shaukat.
The Ambassador informed the Pakistanbusinessmen about the current state of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, the results of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.K.Tokayev to Islamabad, including the Kazakh-Pakistani Business Forum.
During the conversation with the CEO of “Well Connect LTD”, H.A.Khan highly appreciated the potential of cooperation with Kazakhstan in the fields of investment and finance, energy, education and agriculture. There was also a detailed discussion of joint projects planned for implementation in Kazakhstan and Pakistan.
During the meeting with the delegation of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Y.Kistafin spoke about promising projects, business opportunities and economic potential of Kazakhstan, key sectors of the economy and their indicators, past and planned events. The Ambassador invited businessmen from Rawalpindi to visit Kazakhstan in the near future to establish direct contacts and get acquainted with the investment potential of Kazakhstan.
For his part, U.Shaukat expressed interest in exploring the potential of the Astana International Financial Center and other financial institutions in Kazakhstan that have practical opportunities for favorable regulation and protection of foreign direct investment in accordance with international law.
Following the meeting, the leadership of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry expressed its readiness to visit Kazakhstan as part of a business delegation this year.
