1 of April Kazakhstan Agency for International Development «KazAID» held a working meeting with a delegation from the Institute of Development Policy (IDP) of Kyrgyzstan. The talks concluded with an agreement to advance the dialogue and begin developing specific joint projects of regional significance.

KazAID was represented by Chairman of the Board A. Arystanov. The Kyrgyz delegation comprised Nadezhda Dobretsova, IDP Chair; Ulara Narusbaeva, IDP Coordinator; and Malika Inakova, IDP Representative in Uzbekistan.

The discussions focused on building sustainable mechanisms for transferring best practices in local self-governance. The parties reviewed prospects for jointly implementing initiatives aimed at supporting the socio-economic development of Central Asian countries.

IDP has provided methodological support to government bodies, local authorities, civil society, and international partners in Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia for 15 years. KazAID, in turn, implements Kazakhstan's official development assistance policy - sharing the country's expertise in digitalization, education, healthcare, and public administration with partner nations.
