KazAID and JICA organize Kaizen and Lean Production seminars for entrepreneurs in Talas and Bishkek
08.04.2026 18:19:32 116In March 2026, a series of seminars on "Kaizen and Lean Production" was held in the Kyrgyz Republic with the participation of the Kazakhstan Agency for International Development (KazAID) in cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), with the support of the Kyrgyz-Japanese Center for Human Development (KRJC) and the Kazakhstan-Japan Center for Human Resources Development (KJC).
The first seminar took place on March 11, 2026, in the city of Talas and brought together local entrepreneurs, business representatives, and specialists interested in introducing modern approaches to managing production and organizational processes.
During the seminar, Mr. Nurlan Mukaliev, an expert from the Kazakhstan-Japan Center, presented key principles of the Kaizen philosophy and practical lean production tools aimed at optimizing business processes, reducing waste, and improving operational efficiency.
The series continued with an advanced seminar held on March 12, 2026, at Techno Park in Bishkek as part of the 9th annual Hajime B-Club alumni meeting.
Welcoming remarks were delivered by H.E. Mr. Ryuichi Hirano, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan to the Kyrgyz Republic, and Mr. Kotaro Nishigato, representative of JICA, who highlighted the importance of Japanese management methodologies in strengthening regional entrepreneurship.
The expert session was opened by Mr. Sultan Kerimsal, representative of NAO "KazAID" and Head Manager of the Department of Partnership and Regional Projects. He emphasized that knowledge exchange and the development of entrepreneurial competencies play an important role in strengthening economic cooperation across Central Asia.
During the program, experts Mr. Nursultan Nurmukhanov (KazAID) and Mr. Nurlan Mukaliev (KJC) presented practical Kaizen and lean production tools and shared real case studies on improving business process efficiency.
The seminars in Talas and Bishkek contributed to strengthening regional cooperation and expanding business ties among entrepreneurs in Central Asia. As the national operator of Kazakhstan's official development assistance, KazAID continues to support initiatives aimed at developing human capital, promoting knowledge exchange, and enhancing business competitiveness in partner countries across the region.
