As part of implementing the principles of open government, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan ensures the formation and publication of open data.

Open data is information in a machine-readable format intended for free use, analysis, and reuse. It enables citizens, businesses, and the expert community to exercise public oversight, make informed decisions, and create digital services.

To date, the Ministry has published 86 open data sets on the portal https://data.egov.kz.
Their relevance, completeness, and reliability are ensured.

To further develop open data, a survey on user needs is being conducted from April 6 to April 16, 2026.
