On 8 April 2026, the Kazakh Agency of International Development «KazAID» organised a cultural and educational tour of Astana’s landmarks for students from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan as part of the «Avicenna: Healthcare» programme.

The participants followed a packed itinerary: the Palace of Independence, the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation, the National Museum, the Triumphal Arch, the Central Mosque and the «Baiterek» monument, with visits to the latter two sites. The students were introduced to the symbols of Kazakhstan’s independence and the capital’s masterpieces of modern architecture.

The tour enabled students from Central Asia to gain a deeper understanding of Astana’s cultural and architectural grandeur — from Baiterek as a national symbol to the unique the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation. The programme strengthens cultural and humanitarian ties between countries, introducing guests to Kazakhstan’s achievements and inspiring professional cooperation.

Through the «Avicenna: Healthcare» programme, KazAID promotes cultural exchange and the formation of professional ties among young people from Central Asian partner countries.
