On April 7, 2026, the XIX Regional Spartakiad among civil servants of cities and districts, regional departments, and territorial divisions officially started in the East Kazakhstan Region.

The organizers of this sporting event are the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service Affairs in the East Kazakhstan Region and the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the region.

The main goal of the Spartakiad is to engage civil servants in regular physical activity and sports, promote a healthy lifestyle, and strengthen the positive image of public service.

As part of the Spartakiad, competitions are being held in the following sports: volleyball, mini-football, table tennis, swimming, togyzkumalak, chess, tug of war, archery, basketball, and Kazakh wrestling.

On the opening day, April 7, chess competitions took place. According to the results, the team of the State Revenue Department of the East Kazakhstan Region demonstrated a high level of preparation and won first place in the overall team standings.

In the individual category, among 30 participants, Almas Chilikpayev, Head of the VAT Tax Audit Department of the Indirect Tax Administration Division, took an honorable second place.
