For the first time, a "Neke kiyu" ceremony was held at the medium security facility of the Department of the Penal System of the Abai region.

The staff of the operational department of the institution, together with a representative of the Kos Munarly Semey city Mosque, organized the ceremony, which was held in strict accordance with the requirements of current legislation and the established regime of detention. A representative of the mosque conducted the ceremony according to the canons of the Islamic tradition.

I am 35 years old. Officially, my wife and I have been married for two years. Back then, she believed in me and our future. After my incarceration, the relationship began to fade. It took her a long time to forgive me for taking a different path that led me here. After long conversations and mutual efforts, we decided to hold the "Neke kiyu" ceremony, which we had previously postponed. Today, thanks to the staff of the institution, I swore to a representative of the mosque that after my release we would build the life we dreamed of two years ago, and our children would grow up in a house that I would build with my own hands," the convict shared.
When my husband was here, it seemed to me that our life was over. I thought his actions had ruined our lives. Doubts began to creep into my thoughts about divorce, especially when I saw that many of my peers were already raising children. But after talking to my lover, I believed him again and agreed to hold the ceremony. Today I believe that we have a real family ahead of us," the 28-year-old wife of the convict confessed.
It is very important for us to maintain the family ties of the convicts and help them to restore relations with their loved ones. Today's ceremony is a vivid example of how the rule of law and respect for traditions contribute to social rehabilitation and the return of a person to a full life," said Zhenis Daurenbekov, head of the institution.:

The event became an important event both for the convict's family and for the staff of the institution, emphasizing that the support of relatives and the restoration of family ties play a key role in the social rehabilitation of prisoners.

            - Love, care and mutual understanding are an important part of family values. The foundation of a family is a feeling of love. This means supporting each other, accepting each other's shortcomings, and maintaining a spiritual connection. Where there is love and mutual understanding, you can build a happy family," said Bauyrzhan Taubekuly, Imam of the Kos Munarly Mosque.
