Today, at the “Rukhaniyat” Center, on the occasion of April 18 — the International Day for Monuments and Sites, an opening ceremony was held for a traveling exhibition titled “Urban Culture of the Otrar Oasis and Historical and Cultural Heritage.” The exhibition is organized by the Otrar State Archaeological Museum-Reserve within the framework of the comprehensive project “MUSEUM TOUR: Expedition of Exhibits” by the Kyzylorda Regional Museum of History and Local Lore.

The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Akim of the district Dias Moldabayev, representatives of the intelligentsia, historians and local historians, students, museum specialists, and members of the media.

The purpose of the exhibition is to widely present the centuries-old urban culture of the Otrar Oasis and its historical and cultural heritage, as well as to promote national values.

Guests of the event were given a guided tour of the exhibition, where they received detailed information about urban life in the Otrar Oasis, including everyday life, agriculture, crafts, and trade.
