Kazakhstan Delegation Participates in the Inauguration Ceremony of the President of the Republic of the Congo

Brazzaville, April 16, 2026 – Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Kenya and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the United Nations Office in Nairobi, Barlybay Sadykov, attended the solemn inauguration ceremony of the newly elected President of the Republic of the Congo, Denis Sassou Nguesso.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by heads of state and government from several countries, representatives of international organizations, and members of the diplomatic corps in Brazzaville.

During the ceremony, Barlybay Sadykov conveyed warm greetings from the leadership of Kazakhstan and congratulated Denis Sassou Nguesso on his official assumption of office. He wished him success in state-building and the further development of the Congo.

The Ambassador reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s interest in further expanding and deepening political dialogue and trade-economic cooperation with the Republic of the Congo. He highlighted the successful visit of President Denis Sassou Nguesso to Kazakhstan, during which the two sides signed a number of bilateral documents in the fields of finance, information and communication technologies (ICT), space, and other areas.

As part of the inauguration events, the Kazakh diplomat held a series of meetings with senior officials of the Republic of the Congo. In particular, he met with Françoise Joly, Personal Representative of the President of the Republic of the Congo for Strategic Affairs and International Cooperation, and Guy Nestor Itoua, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Francophonie and Congolese Abroad. The parties discussed topical issues of the regional and international agenda, as well as specific matters of bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Republic of the Congo.
