April 23, 2026 The Department of Education of the East Kazakhstan Region and the "Ust-Kamenogorsk Higher Polytechnic College" State Communal Enterprise held the regional event "Az-Nauryz". Colleges from the region participated in the event.

The participants of the holiday were congratulated by Alima Akylbekkyzy, Deputy Head of the Department of Education of the East Kazakhstan Region. All events are aimed at popularizing national customs and traditions.

Within the framework of the "Az-Nauryz" holiday, the following were held:

- "Who is faster?" (squatting with a ram, togyz kumalak, arm wrestling) among college students;

- a concert program;

- "Nauryz - the Beginning of the Year" fair of national dishes;

- distribution of Nauryz Kozhe, inviting guests to the festive dastarkhan.

In colorfully decorated yurts, the holiday guests were treated to baursaks, Nauryz Kozhe, pilaf, and other national dishes.

The winners of the competitions and contests were awarded diplomas and certificates of merit.
