Kazakhstan Agency of International Development "KazAID" held an introductory lecture for representatives of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, aimed at strengthening inter-ministerial cooperation and raising awareness of the mechanisms of international cooperation.

During the event, KazAID experts presented key approaches and principles of official development assistance (ODA) and provided a detailed account of its role in promoting sustainable development. Particular attention was paid to how ODA instruments can be applied to the environmental agenda and projects related to environmental protection.

In addition, participants were briefed on KazAID’s activities, including its priority areas of work, ongoing projects and the agency’s strategic objectives. Representatives from the Ministry had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the agency’s current initiatives and potential in the context of environmental programmes and international partnerships.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed possible mechanisms for interaction and prospects for further cooperation. The dialogue took place in a constructive atmosphere and laid the foundation for the development of joint initiatives aimed at addressing pressing environmental challenges and achieving sustainable development goals.

KazAID will continue its work to expand partnerships with government bodies and promote effective tools for international cooperation.
