Kazakhstan and Pakistan intend to increase business ties

Islamabad, April 30, 2026 — Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan Yerzhan Kistafin received the newly appointed Co-Chairman of the Kazakh-Pakistan Business Council, Mr. Muhammad Ayub Kureishi.
The parties discussed the current state of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, the results of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K. Tokayev to Islamabad, including the Kazakh-Pakistan business forum.
M.A. Kureishi noted the huge potential for further building up business ties and diversifying trade and investment partnerships, emphasizing the interest of Pakistan entrepreneurs and industrialists.
The interlocutors discussed further practical steps to hold regular events in the B2B format, agreed to organize visits of delegations of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the leading industrial centers of Pakistan to Kazakhstan.
The newly appointed Co-Chairman shared his ideas and plans for further enhancing the activities of the Kazakhstan-Pakistan Business Council.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to hold a regular meeting of the business council in the near future.
