THE MEMORY OF SOVIET SOLDIERS WHO FELL DURING THE SECOND WORLD WAR WAS HONORED IN FINLAND

Helsinki, 8 May 2026 – Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan Azamat Abdraimov took part in a flower-laying ceremony at the Monument to Soviet soldiers located in the city of Hanko.
In his remarks, the Kazakh diplomat noted the significant contribution of the people of Kazakhstan to the achievement of Victory in the Second World War, highlighting the courage and selflessness of hundreds of thousands of Kazakhstani soldiers who fought on the front lines, as well as the important role of home front workers who provided support to the army and helped bring the war to an end.
Particular attention was paid to the importance of preserving historical memory and honoring the sacrifice of the fallen. It was noted that such commemorative events contribute to strengthening mutual understanding among nations and to passing on historical truth to future generations.
