Head of State Receives Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil
12.05.2026 08:09:07 232May 11, Astana- The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Mauro Vieira.
The Head of State noted that the Minister’s visit confirms Brazil’s commitment to strengthening comprehensive cooperation with Kazakhstan. Brazil is regarded as Kazakhstan’s key partner in Latin America.
Particular attention during the meeting was given to the development of trade, economic, and investment cooperation, including the diversification of mutual trade and the expansion of collaboration with leading Brazilian companies. The parties also discussed prospects for cooperation in the agro-industrial sector, including technology exchange and the development of joint projects in livestock farming.
The interlocutors emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation within international organizations, including the United Nations and BRICS, as well as coordinating the efforts of Global South countries on issues of sustainable development, poverty reduction, and climate change.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil reaffirmed his interest in giving additional impetus to bilateral relations and elevating them to a qualitatively new level. He also highly praised the political and socio-economic reforms being carried out in Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on current international and regional issues.
