A seminar on official ethics and anti-corruption was held for civil servants

On May 13, 2026, an Ethics Commissioner of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the Legal Department, conducted a training seminar for civil servants on compliance with anti-corruption legislation, official ethics, and the prevention of corruption risks.
During the seminar, the main requirements for civil servants regarding the conscientious performance of official duties, compliance with restrictions and prohibitions established by law were considered. Special attention was paid to compliance with the principles of legality, the priority of state interests, the prevention of conflicts of interest, and the formation of an anti-corruption culture.
Additionally, civil servants were further explained the requirements concerning compliance with the norms of the Ethical Code, behavioral culture during inspections and business trips. Alongside this, employees were reminded of the inadmissibility of discrimination, the need to observe labor discipline and work schedules, and the prohibition on participation in gambling and involvement in the activities of destructive religious movements.
Within the framework of the event, emphasis was placed on the importance of the personal responsibility of every civil servant for adhering to the principles of integrity, openness, and zero tolerance for corruption. Additionally, moral guidelines and sayings of famous thinkers about honesty, conscience, and service to society were presented.
Following the seminar, the necessity for further strengthening the anti-corruption culture, observing the norms of official ethics, and ensuring a high level of legal responsibility among civil servants was emphasized.
