Today, nearly 500 married couples serve within the law enforcement troops, having united their lives and continuing to serve the country together. One such exemplary family is the creative union of musicians from the Song and Dance Ensemble of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan — Nurkhan Mukat and Altynai Tastan.
Both artists are originally from western Kazakhstan, but fate brought them together in the capital during their military service. As part of the Ensemble’s folklore group, Nurkhan Mukat promotes national art through performances on the dombra. Altynai Tastan, in turn, performs pop compositions, contributing to the cultural spirit within the military environment.
Ahead of the International Day of Families, the couple, who successfully combine military service and creativity, shared their life principles and views on family values.
“We all understand how responsible military service is. Art also requires great dedication and hard work. That is why in our family we always try to support one another. After all, love for the Motherland begins with the family,” noted Nurkhan Mukat.
Indeed, family is a foundation built on trust, mutual understanding, and support. Despite the high responsibility of military service, the couple consider respect, unity, and harmony within the family to be their core values. The sound of the dombra and heartfelt songs have become symbols of their devotion to art and to their country.
The National Guard musicians not only stand guard over public order, but also strengthen the national spirit through their творчество. Such families, who honor traditions, respect the older generation, and faithfully serve the Motherland, undoubtedly serve as worthy examples for young people and strengthen the reputation of the law enforcement troops. A strong family is the foundation of a strong state, while faithful service to the Fatherland is an honorable duty of every citizen.
