Several streets in the village of Kegen were named after veterans of the Great Patriotic War - Begimbetov Nurmuganbet, Ongarbekov Orazsha, Sybantaev Beken Bayanbayuly, Dautaliyev Sarsenbai, Zhylgeldiev Ibraimbai, Bulanbayev Argynbek. This is a clear manifestation of the great respect and reverence shown to the men who died for the country. The ceremony of unveiling the names of the streets was attended by descendants of the veterans, villagers and representatives of the intelligentsia.
