Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has signed the Decree "On Measures to Develop Reading Culture and Form a Reading Nation".

The document is aimed at developing human capital, strengthening the intellectual and cultural potential of society, as well as popularizing reading as an important part of education, upbringing, and enlightenment.

The main goals of the Decree:
* forming a reading nation;
* increasing interest in books and literature;
* creating conditions for developing a reading culture among children and youth;
* supporting libraries and the publishing sector;
* nurturing a creative, constructive, and competitive personality.
