Today, at the sports and recreation complex, the opening ceremony of the republican sambo tournament among teenagers born in 2009–2010 was held on the instruction of the district akim in memory of Honored Coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan Adilbek Serikbayev.

The traditional sporting event, organized to promote a healthy lifestyle among young people and develop the sport of sambo, brought together around 200 young athletes from various regions of the country.

The ceremonial event was attended by Deputy Akim of the district Dias Moldabayev, President of the Sambo Federation of the Kyzylorda Region Almat Abdrakhmanuly, as well as relatives of Adilbek Serikbayev.

During the event, Dias Asylbekuly delivered a speech, noting that the tournament is both a tribute to the memory of Adilbek aga and an important initiative for the development of mass sports. He emphasized that the younger generation undoubtedly gains valuable guidance and inspiration by watching such competitions.

It was also noted that the memorial tournament has been held since 2021 and is being organized in the district for the sixth time this year. The deputy akim wished all participants courage, endless energy, and determination to achieve victory.

During the opening ceremony, local performers presented patriotic songs, creating a festive atmosphere for the audience. In addition, the first matches of the competition took place, where the young athletes demonstrated their skills and level of preparation.

It should be noted that the two-day republican tournament will conclude on May 17.
