Brasília, May 18, 2026 – A meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federative Republic of Brazil between the Ambassador of Kazakhstan Bolat Nussupov and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Susan Kleebank.

During the meeting, the parties highly appreciated the outcomes of the official visit of the Brazilian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mauro Vieira to Astana on May 11 this year and discussed certain aspects of implementing the agreements reached during the visit.

In particular, the agenda of the talks included issues related to preparations for the signing of the intergovernmental Agreement on Technical Cooperation, which will serve as a reliable foundation for the implementation of joint projects in the fields of agriculture, livestock, environment, infrastructure development, and education.

In addition, an agreement was reached to develop a Roadmap for cooperation between the two ministries, which will include step-by-step joint activities and projects of mutual interest.

As is known, during the visit of the Brazilian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mauro Vieira to Astana on May 11 this year, two important documents were signed: a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in the field of agriculture and livestock between the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply of Brazil, as well as a Memorandum of Understanding between the Joint Stock Company “National Company KAZAKH INVEST” and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency “APEX Brasil.”
