Seoul, May 19, 2026 – Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Korea Asset Issenali held a meeting with Ilbum Kim, Executive Vice President of Hyundai Motor Group.

The parties exchanged views on further developing Kazakhstan-Korea trade, economic and investment cooperation, strengthening business ties, expanding industrial and technological cooperation, as well as identifying new areas of engagement.

The Kazakh diplomat noted the high level of strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and the Republic of Korea and emphasized Kazakhstan’s interest in expanding cooperation with leading Korean companies and implementing promising joint projects.

Special attention was paid to new opportunities opening up for enterprises of the two countries in light of the upcoming state visit of the President of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Korea and the first Central Asia–Republic of Korea Summit.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to maintain working contacts and continue dialogue on issues of mutual interest.
