The Kazakhstan Freestyle Wrestling Cup was held in Almaty, bringing together the country’s strongest athletes. Among the participants were seven servicemen of the sports team from military unit 6636 of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The guardsmen demonstrated a high level of training, strong character, and determination to win, securing several prize-winning places in the individual standings.

Senior Lieutenant Azamat Dauletbekov became the tournament champion in the 86-kilogram weight category, confidently winning the gold medal. Another gold medal for the team was earned by Corporal Sanzhar Doszhanov, who became the best in the 71-kilogram category.

Corporal Asyl Aitakyn won the silver medal in the 61-kilogram category. Bronze medals were claimed by Corporal Akezhan Aitbekov in the 97-kilogram category and Corporal Bolat Sakayev in the 86-kilogram division.

The strong performance of the servicemen at the national tournament once again confirmed the high level of sports development within the law enforcement troops and became the result of systematic training and continuous improvement of the professional and physical qualities of personnel.
