On May 19, 2026, an extraordinary session of the Kostanay City Maslikhat was held under the chairmanship of Omarali Baigabylov.

During the meeting, the deputies considered two issues on the agenda. The powers of Olga Igimbayeva, deputy for district No. 16, were terminated on the basis of a personal statement.

Changes have also been made to the Kostanay City Development Plan for 2026-2030.
