Servicemen of military unit 5546 of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with officers of the Criminal Executive System Committee, prevented an attempt to illegally deliver prohibited substances into Penal Institution No. 15.

The incident occurred at the transport checkpoint during the inspection of a GAZelle vehicle. During the search, servicemen used a service detection dog named “Shakh,” which reacted to the possible presence of prohibited substances inside the vehicle.

After the dog’s signal, officers conducted a more thorough inspection of the vehicle. As a result, they discovered a plastic container from putty inside the glove compartment, containing a package with a plant-based substance emitting a specific odor.

Thanks to the оперативе and coordinated actions of the National Guard servicemen and CES Committee officers, the attempt to smuggle prohibited substances into the secured facility was promptly prevented.

An investigation is currently underway to establish all circumstances of the incident and identify those involved in the offense.
