On the eve of International Women's Day, employees of the medium security institution of the Department of the Penal Correction System in the Abai region organized a social project "New Me" in the Semey Mom's House, aimed at supporting women in difficult situations.

               Today, more than ten women between the ages of 18 and 40 live in their mother's House, either in the late stages of pregnancy or raising newborn children. For six months, they receive social, psychological and household assistance that allows them to restore documents, establish relationships with their families and prepare for independent living.

              As part of the event, a makeup workshop was held for the participants. The experts talked about basic skin care, demonstrated the technique of performing daytime makeup and shared professional recommendations.

              The main goal of the master class was not only the external transformation of the participants, but also the training of practical skills that can later become an additional source of income. Mastering the beauty skills in demand opens up the possibility of self-employment, financial independence and confidence in the future for women.

                In parallel, the staff of the institution, together with a psychologist, conducted a training on psychological support. The participants discussed ways to overcome anxiety, mastered simple self-regulation techniques, and received practical recommendations for strengthening self-esteem during life changes.

            A particularly touching moment was the sincere emotions of the women who saw their reflection after the transformation and heard words of support.

           We strive to give women not only moral support, but also practical skills that will help them become independent and confidently build their future," said Nazgul Shakarimova, a psychologist at the institution.

              The social action has become part of the work to strengthen the principles of humanization and social adaptation of citizens.

             At the end of the meeting, the participants were presented with memorable gifts and congratulations on the upcoming holiday.
