On the eve of International Women's Day, employees of the minimum security facility of the Department of the Penal Correction System in the Abai region held an unusual festive event for residents of the city of Semey.
In the morning, the staff of the institution took to the streets of the city to give the women a good mood. Warm congratulations, sincere words of gratitude and spring flowers were received by shop assistants, passers-by and employees of retail outlets.
          The action came as a pleasant surprise to many of the townspeople — the women smiled, thanked the staff and shared their festive mood.
            One of those who was congratulated by the staff of the institution was a resident of Semey Aigul, who works as a salesman in a small store. According to her, such a surprise was especially touching for her.
            - I have been working as a salesperson for more than ten years, and I often spend holidays at my workplace. Today's congratulations came as a real surprise to me. I have two children, and I try to be strong and cheerful for them. It is very nice that in our daily hustle and bustle there are people who can just give flowers and kind words," the woman shared.
            - Such initiatives help to remind about the important role of women in society.International Women's Day is a special holiday that symbolizes respect and gratitude to women for their hard work, care and contribution to the development of society. We wanted to give the residents of the city a little spring mood and say thank you for their kindness, patience and wisdom, such actions have become a good tradition. They allow not only to congratulate women on the holiday, but also strengthen trust between society and the staff of the penal correction system," said Rustem Berlibekov, Deputy head of the institution.

         The festive event gave dozens of Semey residents smiles, a spring mood and once again reminded them that attention and kind words are sometimes more valuable than the most expensive gifts.
