Potential of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route Presented in Serbia

Belgrade, May 22, 2026 – Kazakhstan’s Ambassador, Mr. Madi Atamkulov, participated in the "CEE – Western Balkans Energy, Infrastructure & Industrial Security Forum 2026," organized by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and the General Confederation of Italian Industry for Eastern Europe.

In his welcoming address to the forum participants, the Kazakh diplomat highlighted the potential of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route. He emphasized the geopolitical and geo-economic advantages of this route, the dynamics of increasing freight transportation, as well as the efforts of the Kazakh side to enhance its capacity.

The forum also featured a panel discussion titled "Adriatic – Black Sea – Central Asia Corridor," with the participation of Mr. Zivs, Director of Trading and Logistics at KMG International. He presented the audience with trends in the oil market and Kazakhstan’s role in maintaining Europe’s energy security.

The event was opened by Serbia’s Prime Minister Mr. Maсut, and was attended by major energy companies from Italy, Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, and Greece, along with representatives from European financial institutions.
