Spring Conscription Campaign Begins in the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan

The spring conscription campaign has officially started in the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From May 22 to June 30, 2026, about 7,000 young people are planned to be drafted into the ranks of the law enforcement troops.
This was announced during an interdepartmental meeting on the organization and conduct of the spring conscription campaign held at the Main Command of the National Guard under the chairmanship of the First Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard — Chief of the Main Staff, Lieutenant General Kairat Aktanov.
Currently, officers of the National Guard’s conscription and recruitment department are working in 17 regions and 3 cities of republican significance.
Most of the new recruits will be assigned to military units responsible for maintaining public order, ensuring security during mass events, and guarding important state facilities and institutions of the penal system.
Today, together with police officers, National Guard servicemen maintain public order in 21 cities across the country. More than 7,000 guardsmen are deployed daily for law enforcement duties, while another 2,000 servicemen are engaged in guarding important state facilities and penal institutions.
Since the beginning of 2026, servicemen of the law enforcement troops have prevented thousands of offenses, uncovered cases of illegal drug possession, and seized nearly 30 units of cold and firearms weapons from illegal circulation. In addition, thanks to the vigilance and prompt actions of the guardsmen, lost children and missing mobile phones were safely returned to citizens.
A special role in ensuring internal security and stability is assigned to conscript servicemen in the cities of Astana, Almaty, and Turkistan. Every day, personnel are involved in maintaining public order and ensuring security during state, socio-political, cultural, and mass events.
Service in the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan remains an important school of courage, discipline, and responsibility for young Kazakhstanis contributing to the safety and peace of the country’s citizens.
