At all times, culture and art have been the golden foundation of the nation’s spirituality. Through art, the culture and traditions of our country are passed down from generation to generation. Therefore, people working in this field have always held a special place in society. With this purpose, today, on the instruction of the district akim, a festive event titled “My Culture – My Pride” dedicated to the May 21 Culture and Arts Workers’ Day was held at the District House of Culture named after Shamshat Tolepova.
During the ceremonial evening, Deputy Akim of the district Dias Moldabayev congratulated the cultural workers on their professional holiday and said:
“On the sacred land of Karmakshy, renowned for its great zhyrau poets, many noble deeds have been accomplished and significant achievements attained. In this regard, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your work in further developing our rich artistic heritage. May you always enjoy the respect of the people and continue reaching new heights in the world of art,” he said.
During the event, a number of industry specialists were awarded letters of appreciation from the regional akim and his deputy, as well as from the district akim. In addition, the “Labor Glory” badge of the public association “Kazakhstan Sectoral Trade Union of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Information Workers” and letters of appreciation from the head of the Department of Culture were presented.
The ceremonial evening continued with a festive concert featuring local performers. The celebration, filled with songs and traditional kui music, left a special impression on the audience.
It should be noted that this holiday, dedicated to honoring the work of cultural workers who enrich the spiritual heritage of the nation, has been officially celebrated in Kazakhstan since 2013.
