Today, on the instruction of the district akim, the opening ceremony of the XVI Republican Open Boxing Tournament among adolescents born in 2012–2013 for the prizes of sports veteran and recipient of the “For Merits in Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan” badge, Kuanysh Karazhanuly, was held.

More than 100 young athletes from 10 teams representing different regions of the country are participating in the prestigious competition, which has been traditionally organized since 2010.

At the ceremonial event, Deputy Akim of the district Dias Moldabayev delivered a speech:

“The land of Karmakshy has produced many outstanding athletes who have brought glory to the country. One of them is the experienced coach and sports veteran Kuanysh Karazhanuly. Such meaningful competitions undoubtedly help instill respect for elders and other important values in our youth,” he said, wishing the participants success in the tournament.

During the opening ceremony, the honored guest of the sporting event also expressed gratitude for the respect shown to him.

Kuanysh Karazhanuly is an experienced coach who has devoted many years to the development of sports and trained numerous athletes. His students have represented the country at international and national competitions, achieving high results. In 1996, he was also awarded the badge “For Merits in Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.”

In the boxing ring, young fighters are demonstrating their athletic skills and determination to win, delivering intense and exciting bouts.

It should be noted that the four-day tournament will conclude on May 24.
