On the eve of the International Children's Day, the Department of State Revenue of the Pavlodar region hosted a bright and inspiring holiday "Taxes through the eyes of children" or the "No Corruption!" campaign. The main event of the day was the final of the BIRGEDAMYUSHIN children's creative contest. The event was organized with an important goal – to form an anti-corruption worldview and increase tax literacy among the younger generation through art and play.
Game format and important lessons
The organizers tried to make sure that serious topics were understandable even to the smallest ones. We talked to the guys in an accessible way about why the state needs taxes, why corruption is bad, and what it means to be a truly honest person.
To consolidate useful knowledge, a fun interactive warm–up session was held for the children: if the presenter called a good deed, the audience clapped together, and if a bad one, they stomped.
The children were particularly delighted with the invited guests – animators – full-length dolls Teddy Bear, Bunny and Heart. They enjoyed playing with the children, creating an atmosphere of real celebration. In addition, the young participants showed their ingenuity and team spirit in the exciting mini-contests "Give good" and "Collect a proverb".
Creative competition
About 25 talented children between the ages of 3 and 15 took part in the main competition. The young participants demonstrated their skills in a variety of genres: they performed theme songs, expressively recited poems, and presented colorful drawings reflecting their view of justice, honesty, and the benefits of taxes.
The works were reviewed by a competent jury from among the heads of departments of the Department. The commission was headed by Deputy Head of the Department Marat Beisenov. The jury evaluated the quality of the performance, the originality of the idea and the composition, but the sincerity of the guys exceeded all expectations.
– Children are our future, and the formation of the right values, such as honesty and an anti–corruption culture, begins at this age. The BIRGEDAMYUSHIN competition has shown that our guys are not only incredibly talented, but also have a deep understanding of such serious government topics. We were pleasantly surprised by the creativity of the works – from the touching drawings of the kids to the confident performances of the older guys. Each creation turned out to be so unique that we made the only right decision: there can be no losers in this competition. Absolutely every participant is a winner who has shown initiative, real talent and caring," Chairman of the jury Marat Beisenov shared his impressions.
Awarding ceremony and sweet ending
According to the results of the competition, all young talents, without exception, were officially recognized as winners. They were solemnly awarded with certificates of honor and memorable gifts for their efforts and creativity.
After the award ceremony, a pleasant surprise awaited the children – a delicious treat with hot pizza, juices and sweet prizes. And the eventful and joyful holiday ended with watching the cartoon together.
The head of the organizational department of the Department, Almagul Kinzhikova, deserves special thanks. Thanks to her initiative, efforts and warmth, this holiday took place and turned out to be truly bright, joyful and unforgettable for all participants.
