In January 2025, a new Law "On Public Procurement" was enacted in the Republic of Kazakhstan. It aims to improve the quality of purchased goods, works, and services, simplify procurement procedures, and further digitalize the industry.
One of the key innovations was the creation of the Unified Procurement Platform-an information system of the authorized body in the field of public procurement, providing a single point of access to electronic services for public procurement and procurement carried out in accordance with the Law
"On Procurement of Certain Entities in the Quasi-Public Sector".
In implementation of the Law "On Public Procurement", a Unified Procurement Platform has been launched, integrated with the government procurement web portal, as well as the platforms of quasi-public sector entities and JSC Samruk-Kazyna(goszakup.gov.kz, mitwork.kz, zakup.sk.kz).
To analyze and consolidate information on regulated procurement, in 2025,
work was completed to integrate procedures for state educational procurement services and student meal procurement (goszakup.gov.kz), the portal
for procurement of medicines, medical products, and services (fms.ecc.kz),
the web portal for procurement for medical organizations (med.ecc.kz), and the procurement platforms of natural monopoly entities (eurasiantech-tender.kz, caspytender.kz, zakup-besk.kz, etbemp.kz, ets-tender.kz, sic.kz, mp.kz, e-port.kz).
Thus, as of April 28, 2026, 46,793 users were registered on the Unified Procurement Platform.
This year, measures are planned to expand the functionality of the Unified Procurement Platform, including integration with the subsoil user procurement platform (tizilim.gov.kz).
These measures are aimed at simplifying the user experience by providing unified access to all regulated procurement processes through a single-window system.
Overall, the launch of the Unified Procurement Platform is an important step
in the digital transformation of Kazakhstan's procurement system. The new model promotes greater transparency of procedures, fosters competition, and creates
a modern, open, and efficient environment for all participants in the procurement process.
