Comprehensive preparations for the 2026 summer tourism season are ongoing in the East Kazakhstan Region. The primary focus is on ensuring visitor safety, improving comfort, and developing modern tourism infrastructure.

A total of 23 public recreation areas have been identified across the region, including the coastline of the Bukhtarma Reservoir, the Sibiny Lakes, Lakes Zaisan, Shybyndykol, Dubygaly, Ayyr, as well as the Irtysh River.

As part of the seasonal preparations, large-scale improvement and landscaping works are being carried out on beach territories. The planned measures include the installation of rescue stations and observation towers, expansion of parking areas, installation of video surveillance systems, and the arrangement of shower cabins, changing rooms, and sanitary facilities. Sun loungers, canopies, gazebos, and information stands are also being installed.

Special attention is being paid to water safety issues. The number of rescue personnel is being increased, and additional measures are being implemented to ensure safe recreation for residents and visitors.

Improvement works continue along the coast of the Bukhtarma Reservoir recreational zone. In Ust-Kamenogorsk, the “Samal” and KNM beaches are undergoing modernization with the introduction of modern infrastructure and additional sanitary and hygiene facilities.

At the same time, transport and engineering infrastructure are being developed. Access roads to tourism facilities are being repaired, sanitary facilities are being installed, and the quality of mobile communications and internet coverage is being improved.

The East Kazakhstan Region continues its efforts to create a comfortable, modern, and safe tourism environment for both residents and guests of the region.
